ABOUT AMY
Being a native Mainer has instilled in me a great appreciation for this state’s abundance of wildlife and natural beauty. Living in Scarborough, close to the ocean and marsh provides me with endless inspiration, which I translate into a distinctly unique art form.

As a medium, working with hand-dyed hemp rope allows me to create a sense of movement and dimension in my art pieces.
The planning and creation of each work is truly a labor of love. I begin with an image. From there, a sketch is made, a color palette is chosen, and the process of hand-dying the hemp rope begins. Once preparations are complete, I start the meticulous job of cutting and assembling. I love how the placement of each strand slowly brings my work to life.
